How Does Self Hypnosis Work

How Does Self Hypnosis Work

You may have heard or seen people being hypnotized, but did you know that there is such a thing as self hypnosis? Now you may wonder how a person can put himself into a trance state. Well, self hypnosis is actually so simple. In fact, human beings are naturally accustomed to this state. Before falling asleep, we enter into a light trance. We also experience light trances when we daydream or watch television.

So how does self hypnosis work?  Well, self-hypnosis is actually quite similar to meditation or visualization. But the only difference is, in self-hypnosis, a person fills his mind by focusing on the things he wants to achieve. In meditation, a person has to clear his mind completely.

In self hypnosis, you have to get comfortable at first by sitting or lying down. Then close you eyes, breathe deeply, and relax your body as you focus on your breathing. Finally, fill your subconscious mind with the statements that you want in your life. For instance, you want to exercise daily, you could say ‘I love to exercise’ over and over again. That is how self hypnosis works.
